Getting Started with the Competitor Researcher Tool

Begin by inputting your competitor’s homepage URL into the tool. After entering the URL, click on “analyze competitor”. While it might take a moment for the tool to generate the report, your patience will be rewarded with a comprehensive analysis of your competitor’s SEO strategy.

Once your report is ready, clicking “view” will unveil a plethora of insights:

  • Shared Keywords & Subdomains: Discover competitors based on shared keywords and explore their subdomains.

Strategizing with the Organic Keywords Tab

Navigate to the organic keywords tab to pinpoint the keywords driving maximum organic traffic to your competitor’s site. Detailed keyword metrics can be accessed by clicking on the blue arrow next to a keyword. Depending on your website’s authority, you might consider targeting these keywords.

Analyzing Page Performance

The page performance tab reveals pages on your competitor’s site that are garnering the most organic clicks. Delve deeper by clicking on the blue arrow next to a URL. This will show keyword rankings and their respective positions for that page. Reviewing top-performing pages, especially their type (e.g., service page or blog post), can offer insights into search intent.

The Power of Informative Content

In-depth, informative blog posts often rank well in search results. It’s common to find such content among your competitor’s top-performing pages. These pages often feature multiple CTAs and conversion opportunities, maximizing the benefits of organic traffic.

Exploring Other Tabs in the Report

Your report also includes tabs like “competitors”, listing other domains ranking for similar keywords. Generating new reports for these competitors can further enhance your understanding of industry-wide SEO strategies.
